Personalized Substance Abuse Treatment in San Antonio
NCTC is a substance abuse treatment facility in San Antonio, Texas. At our treatment center, we provide care for adults 18+ struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health and behavioral health conditions. Established in 2018, we provide housing and clinical services guided by a team of licensed clinicians, including an on-site psychiatrist.
Without structured treatment, substance use disorders often progress and increase relapse risk. We work to prevent relapse by providing not only structured care but a nurturing environment for those seeking long-term recovery. Our team delivers coordinated care across multiple levels of treatment. Our team of dedicated professionals offers a wide range of evidence-based treatment services, including medical detox, residential care, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient services.
We understand that each person’s needs are unique, which is why we create individualized treatment plans tailored to address the specific challenges, goals, and circumstances of each client. Our team of professionals works closely with clients to develop a comprehensive plan that incorporates trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapies, holistic approaches, and ongoing guidance.

Personalized, Evidence-Based Care
Every client receives a customized treatment plan that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), trauma-focused therapies, SMART Recovery, and psychoeducational groups. Care is tailored to individual strengths, challenges, and recovery goals to promote long-term stability.
Integrated Mental Health & Substance Use Treatment
Because substance use and mental health are often interconnected, we provide coordinated care for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and trauma-related concerns. This integrated approach strengthens emotional regulation, improves coping skills, and promotes lasting recovery.
A Supportive Community Environment
With clinical and residential services located on one campus, clients experience consistent structure, peer connection, and direct access to licensed clinicians and an on-site psychiatrist. Our team fosters accountability, connection, and daily routines that reinforce well-being and sustainable change.
Continuity Across Levels of Care
From detox and residential treatment to PHP, IOP, and outpatient services, clients can move seamlessly through the appropriate level of care as their needs evolve. This step-down structure promotes progress at every stage of the recovery journey.
Our Approach to Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Our approach to alcohol and drug rehab includes a combination of connection-based recovery services, with trauma-informed, individualized care for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Individualized care plans integrate dual diagnosis treatment, evidence-based therapies, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate. Our Substance Abuse Treatment Programs
We offer a comprehensive range of treatment programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Our programming is structured around specific goals depending on each level of treatment.
Medical Detox
Typically lasting 5 to 7 days, our medically-supervised detoxification program focuses on safe withdrawal, stabilization, and 24/7 medical monitoring before entering the next stage of treatment. Medical detox may include the use of medications such as buprenorphine to ease symptoms.
Residential Treatment
Our 30, 60, or 90-day residential treatment programs provide 24/7 structured care for adults who require a stable and supervised environment to address substance use and co-occurring conditions.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
A step down from residential care, PHP runs 5 days a week with full clinical programming for those who still need the structure of a higher level of care. PHP allows clients to return home in the evening while still undergoing intensive therapy and continued care during the day.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our IOP includes approximately 24 sessions over the course of 8 weeks, with flexible scheduling. This allows clients to continue with treatment while still keeping up with responsibilities at work, school, or home.
Outpatient Treatment (OP)
Our outpatient program (OP) features weekly, long-term care and ongoing therapy for those who have already completed a higher level of care or have a less severe addiction.
Aftercare & Alumni Connection
Our aftercare programming provides a guided transition back into daily life while preventing relapse. This includes alumni connections such as our AIR Program (Active in Recovery) and sober living referrals.
