Deren Green has two associates degree s in psychology, counseling, and (CART) -Certified anger resolution therapist since 2011. I have a passion in working with people with chemical dependency/mental health issues. I Started out as an IOP counselor and found my true passion within residential treatments. I Have worked as a counselor in the prison system: probation and with Non-profits like Lifetime Recovery. More recently I have been working in Private facilities. I am married with one son, two stepsons and two beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy wind therapy (motorcycles), fishing and traveling to places I have never been. I love to fellowship with the men at church and believe in self-care. I have been working at NCTC since July of 2021 and have learned more from my peers here than any other place I have worked especially regarding mental health with my patients. My goal is to continue to show my patients a new way of life and that there is hope today.
