Inpatient Drug Rehab in Texas

At NCTC in San Antonio, Texas, we understand that taking the first step toward recovery can be daunting. At our accredited treatment facility, we provide a structured and supportive environment with 24/7 supervision for adults with substance use disorders. Addiction is a chronic, treatable disease that impacts every aspect of a person’s life. However, with the right level of care, you can achieve stability, avoid relapse, and enjoy long-term addiction recovery.

Each client who enters our facility will receive an individualized treatment plan developed by licensed clinicians and an on-site psychiatrist. Individualized treatment plans tailored to a client’s unique needs help ensure that both substance use and co-occurring disorders are addressed simultaneously and effectively.

Our substance abuse treatment programs combine evidence-based therapies, medical supervision, and support in developing critical coping mechanisms and life skills that will benefit clients during recovery and beyond. Through our inpatient services, we provide a home-like environment that fosters deep connections between clients and staff, all built on respect and compassion.

Our philosophy is grounded in holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit. We don’t just treat the symptoms of addiction, but address the underlying issues to help you or your loved one build a solid foundation for a new life and lifelong sobriety.

Program Highlights of Our Inpatient Treatment in Texas

We take a personalized approach to treating drug addiction, fostering a supportive community environment where clients can learn to thrive in a life of sobriety. Our goal is to equip each person who walks through our doors with the tools for a life of success.

Evidence-Based Therapies

Our treatment facility uses evidence-based therapies to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health issues, while also providing practical skills that support lasting recovery.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that drive substance use, while replacing them with healthier responses. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) teaches clients mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills, which are key tools for avoiding relapse.

Experiential therapies provide creative outlets for expression, personal growth, and the development of healthy coping mechanisms. Activities such as art, music, recreation, and horticulture therapy support better mental health and behavioral change in a structured, residential environment.

Holistic and Experiential Therapies

Our rehab center integrates art, music, recreation, and horticulture therapy to help clients build confidence, healthily express themselves, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. These structured activities help provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment while also establishing healthy habits and behaviors.

Our program also encourages yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and promote present-moment awareness.

Medication Management and Clinical Support

Medication management and clinical support are provided by licensed clinicians, including an on-site psychiatrist. This includes continued evaluation of the client, any necessary medication adjustments, and coordinated care.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

If you’re struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder like depression or anxiety, along with substance use, we provide integrated dual diagnosis treatment. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care that supports your whole health through specialized therapies to address both your addiction and mental health needs at the same time.

What to Expect in Inpatient Rehab

Each day in residential care follows a consistent schedule to provide structure and accountability while also supporting a healthy routine.

Mornings

Wakeup occurs between 7:00 am and 7:30 am, followed by clinical programming beginning at 9:00 am, and a process group occurring between 9:00 am and 10:50 am. During this time, clients have the opportunity to discuss the potential challenges and triggers they are experiencing in a therapist-led setting.

After a brief break, clients will move on to an educational group from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Throughout this period, they will learn effective coping mechanisms and other important life skills to support long-term recovery.

Afternoons

At noon, clients will be served a chef-prepared lunch and then enjoy a scheduled personal time from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. During this time, they have the opportunity to reflect on what they’ve learned, connect with peers, or simply rest and take some time for themselves.

Afternoon programming will then resume at 1:00 pm and last until 4:00 pm. The afternoon may include a combination of therapy sessions, skill-building activities, and continuous work toward the client’s individualized treatment plan.

Evenings

Dinner will take place at 5:00 pm, followed by 12-Step support group meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), or an equivalent. The client can then enjoy the rest of their evening decompressing and reflecting before lights out at 10:00 pm.

When to Seek Inpatient Drug Rehab in Texas

If substance use has become difficult to manage on your own, or if it is impacting your overall functioning or well-being, it may be time to seek inpatient rehab. Signs that may indicate professional treatment at a rehab facility is necessary include the inability to stop using, withdrawal symptoms, relapse patterns, and mental health decline.

Delaying treatment can increase the risk of relapse and medical complications. Early intervention can significantly improve recovery outcomes by addressing substance use before it leads to more severe physical, emotional, and social consequences.

Whole-Person Support for Long-Term Recovery in Texas

Our program supports long-term recovery by addressing substance use, mental health, and overall well-being through structured, supportive, and individualized care.

Nutrition and Physical Wellness

Nutrition and exercise are vital components incorporated into daily life at our treatment center. Clients are provided chef-prepared meals and have access to our state-of-the-art fitness center and recreational activities. This not only supports overall health but also helps to establish a positive routine.

Family Involvement

We believe family involvement and repairing strained relationships are vital components of recovery. When loved ones so choose to partake, we provide family therapy sessions to facilitate healing, education, and improved communication with their family member.

Discharge Planning and Aftercare

Prior to completing inpatient services, our team will work closely with you to develop a comprehensive aftercare plan that supports lasting sobriety. This may include outpatient rehab programs, sober living arrangements, community resources, and alumni support services.

Alumni Support

Participation in this program includes alumni meetings, sober social events, and access to our recovery community network.
